(HOUSTON, Texas) — After months of headline-making developments at the local, state and national levels, The Original Saturday Menudo Club will once again bring together community leaders, elected officials, business owners and engaged citizens for an open discussion on many of the issues dominating today's public conversation.The event will be held Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at El Tiempo Cantina, 12440 Northwest Freeway, Houston, Texas 77092. The program will be recorded live and feature six guest speakers representing a variety of professional and civic perspectives. The club describes its mission as fostering conversation around faith, family, community and civic engagement.
Since the club's previous gathering in Fort Bend County, news cycles have accelerated with discussions surrounding public safety technology, congressional testimony, border security, international affairs, infrastructure challenges and emerging technologies.
Topics expected to be discussed include:
Public safety technology, including Flock camera systems.
Recent congressional testimony involving Dr. Anthony Fauci.
The ICE-related shooting in Magnolia and its impact on community dialogue.
International developments involving Iran and U.S. foreign policy.
The rapid expansion of artificial intelligence, data centers and their energy demands.
