BriefingWire.com, 12/29/2025 - STAFFORD, TX — The Original Saturday Menudo Club will convene at a new El Tiempo Cantina location in Stafford on Saturday, January 3, 2026, featuring keynote speaker Dr. Steve Moretta, a nationally respected functional medicine physician, and marking the first-ever voter registration initiative hosted during a Saturday Menudo Club gathering.

The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at El Tiempo Cantina, 12710 Southwest Freeway, Stafford, TX 77477. Voter registration will be available on site from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., expanding the club’s civic engagement mission alongside its regular community discussion format.

The Saturday Menudo Club is known for bringing together business owners, community leaders, candidates, and engaged citizens for open dialogue around leadership, health, faith, culture, and public policy. This gathering continues that tradition while introducing a new civic service component designed to encourage informed participation in the democratic process.

Dr. Moretta will address attendees on functional medicine and whole-person health, emphasizing preventative care, root-cause healing, and long-term wellness strategies.

“True health isn’t about masking symptoms — it’s about understanding the body as an interconnected system,” said Dr. Steve Moretta. “I’m honored to share practical insights that empower people to take ownership of their health and their future.”

The event will also feature remarks from several local and congressional candidates, who will address attendees briefly.

Rebecca Clark and Trever Nehls (invited) candidates for the 22nd Congressional District, Maria Montiel, Candidate for Congressional District 38, Candidates for Fort Bend County Judge Daryl Aaron, KP George, Kenneth Omoruyi, Daniel Wong and Melissa M. Wilson, and Robert Dominguez - Former Harris County Precinct Chai

Voter registration efforts are being coordinated with the support of Sharon Leal, Outreach & Engagement Chairman and Precinct Chair 3022 for Fort Bend County.

“Voter registration is foundational to a healthy republic,” said Sharon Leal. “Bringing this opportunity directly into a trusted community gathering removes barriers and invites everyday citizens to take an active role in shaping their future.”

The gathering will be emceed by Carmen Cavazos and is free to attend; guests are only asked to cover the cost of their meal. No RSVP is required.

The Saturday Menudo Club continues to expand across Houston and surrounding communities, fostering informed dialogue, civic participation, and meaningful connection. It recently hosted a Toy Drive for Houston Icon Pancho Claus at the El Tiempo Cantina on Navigation location.
