CARPENTERSVILLE, IL— ScholarBuys Academic Marketing, a company that specializes in volume academic software licensing to education institutions nationwide announced a new partnership with The Federation of Independent Illinois Colleges and Universities today. The Federation is a statewide association representing the public policy interests of sixty-two independent Illinois (private, not-for-profit) colleges and universities and the students they serve. Member institutions include many well-known Chicago area schools such as Columbia College, North Central College and Judson University.The partnership enables Federation members to take advantage of special pricing and services related to Microsoft products. ScholarBuys first determined the Microsoft license demand of each Federation member school then negotiated a group purchasing agreement on behalf of the entire membership. By combining the aggregate purchasing power of its entire Sixty-Two school membership, participating schools were able achieve economies of scale they could not achieve on their own.
The partnership provides Federation member schools with significant savings on all Microsoft software licenses as well as direct access to Microsoft educational resources and programs. There will also be Federation specific, on-site trainings offered semiannually by Microsoft solution specialists.
As part of the agreement, the group is now able to participate in Microsoft’s new Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES) program. Microsoft EES is a new annual subscription licensing program specifically designed for education. Enrollment for Education Solutions makes it easy for school administrators to know that their Microsoft product use is compliant. This is done by standardizing on a platform of Microsoft products thus reducing the schools total IT costs while helping to increase productivity and access to current technology.
