Millie Loredo, President of FilmsVerité Productions, announced today the selection of its feature film, Sorrow, by the Hulu network for multi-platform, on-line streaming, beginning in Mid-May of 2015. The movie will be available on both the regular streaming service, Hulu, as well as its Premium offering, Hulu Plus. This is especially meaningful to building the movie's exposure to the critical 18 to 49 age group targeted by Hulu, she noted, considering that twice as many viewers watch Hulu than the five major TV networks combined. There was a total of 38 million people who watched Hulu at least once in the past year alone.
Hulu's selection of the movie is particularly noteworthy, she added, pointing out that Vannessa Vasquez, Sorrow's leading actress, also stars in Hulu's Original Series East Los High, where she portrays a teenage high school girl. She currently appears in its second season on Hulu, and will continue her role in the upcoming third season.
Sorrow is the story of a young woman kidnapped and tortured by serial killers, but who escapes and ingeniously exacts her own personal vengeance.
Ms. Loredo also noted that Sorrow is available for Pre-order on Amazon Prime, and will be released on April 21, 2015.
