The 1st Annual 4 Hearts and Eyes on Chicago Red Carpet Short Film Showcase Provides Platform for Emerging Chicago Filmmakers

Chicago, IL (Aug 6, 2012) On Saturday, July 21st, 2012, The 1st Annual 4 Hearts Short Film Showcase was held at The Holiday Star Theater in Park Forest, IL. The event featured some of Chicago’s hottest up and coming filmmakers including John H Rogers III, Sandrel “Sanicole” Young, Joel Kapity, Devin Rowland, Cortez L. Mack, Kevin Hope, Naima A. Dawson and Corvet Williams.

The showcase attracted an impressive crowd and screened quality, thought-provoking films by African American filmmakers. Red carpet interviews and a Q & A panel discussion with the filmmakers also took place.

“Next year’s event is going to be even bigger and full of surprises. We have definitely generated a lot of interest and positive feedback from the public", said Ci Ci Foster, co-owner of 4 Hearts Productions. “The films we selected for this year’s showcase covered a variety of themes. We were excited about the turnout and to be able to provide a platform for talented filmmakers to be recognized for their work,” said Kevin Foster, co-owner of 4 Hearts Productions.
