San Francisco, CA - Violet Vasquez is a third generation descendant of Mexican immigrants. Ms. Vasquez was born and raised in San Francisco, California. She is currently attending City College San Francisco where she is majoring in Sociology and Political Science. Yesterday (June 30, 2016) Ms. Vasquez was interviewed by The Barutiwa Daily Times' Editor-in-Chief, Baruti Muhammad Kamau, concerning her views on poverty, homelessness and destitution in the San Francisco Bay area. The video interview/discussion between Kamau and Vasquez will be an exhibit to the report "San Francisco: An Island Unto Itself," written by Baruti M. Kamau discussing how the City of San Francisco treats its poor people.
