Today the Mixed Martial Arts Youth Foundation (MMAYF) announced that they will be the beneficiary of a charity poker tournament held at the Tower Club of Dallas on November 4th, 2011 starting at 6PM. The event is being put on by a new non-profit organization called The Charity Club Foundation. The Charity Club Foundation was created to hold fun, challenging and competitive events that allowed people from the local community to get involved and allow them to submit local deserving charities as beneficiaries.
“I was introduced to a few Charity Club Foundation Board Members, Everett Fuji, Dana Rieger and Carlos Vielma a few months back and I have been working with them very closely on this charity poker tournament,” said Ryan Kimura, MMAYF Board Member in charge or partnerships. “The MMAYF can’t believe we got so lucky as to be chosen as the beneficiary for the inaugural event for The Charity Club Foundation. We want to do whatever we can to help make it as big as possible. The community has rallied around the MMAYF and has donated way too many great prizes to talk about. Especially, “Limo” George who has graciously donated the grand prize valued at over $1000. And we really couldn’t have done this without the great support of the Tower Club of Dallas and Lauren Greenhaw of Tower Club of Dallas. We are just so thankful the MMAYF, The Charity Club Foundation and Tower Club of Dallas has agreed and partnered on such a great event. Thanks again to all those that have helped and, are currently helping, make this event be a huge success.”
An extra special thanks to The Charity Club Foundation Board Members for honoring the MMAYF with the selection as the inaugural event beneficiary. Everett Fujii, Charity Club Board Member said, “Not only do I love the sport of MMA but I also understand the lifetime benefits you gets from what you learn from training in martial arts. As with every local charity we plan on helping, The Charity Club Foundation just hopes it is enough.”
