The Duchess has spoken. On Sunday 19th of January 2014, the latest Indian restaurant in Cardiff Bay will hold their exclusive launch event.

The chefs of the Duchess of Delhi wanted to add something unique to add to the nation’s favourite, an Indian curry. 6 Bute Crescent is home to the Duchess of Delhi, is designed for spicy food lovers to indulge in the opulence of India. The menu is a fusion of traditional south Asian and British dishes, handmade in collaboration with award-winning Indian chefs and celebrities.

The vibrant and artistic setting, reflective of the luxuriously rich colours of India, showcases the artwork of [mural artist] and stunning furnishings. The Duchess of Delhi creators have used designers and artists from around the globe who all possess one common goal; to create an authentic Indian restaurant. The interior style is classic, providing a warming surrounding by reflecting on the rich heritage of the Rajas and Moguls of India.

Mas Ahmed, the owner said “My father opened one of the finest Indian restaurant in uk 'the red fort, in London over 30 years ago then moved to cardiff and and opened the Indian Ocean restaurant, to this day everyone remembers the opening day as we had an actual Indian elephant on the footsteps of our restaurant.

The restaurant went onto be one of the most prestigious brands in the UK. This is a business venture that I have always wanted to do to add to my portfolio. Since becoming a father for the second time it is very important to me to create a luxury restaurant that is reasonably priced so that people of all ages and backgrounds can dine in comfort. Myself and Mike Ahmed wanted to create something magical with the Duchess. We can’t wait to see what all our guests think at the launch this Sunday “
