Tilak Stone Arts has designed marble temples and pooja rooms for 25 years and has now completed more than 1,000 projects. Based in Jaipur, the company takes orders from homeowners in Mumbai and other Indian cities. Its clients also include families in the USA, Canada, Australia, Dubai, Switzerland, and Tanzania, where the company has delivered and installed temples. In Mumbai, most orders come from apartment owners who have a fixed corner or a single wall set aside for prayer. As a marble temple manufacturer, Tilak Stone Arts designs each temple to those exact measurements, so the finished piece fits the space without on-site changes. The company carves every temple from white Vietnam marble, a stone also sold as Swiss white marble. It has a clean white surface that suits both carved and plain designs. Clients can pick a compact wall-mounted temple or a larger floor-standing model. Families who plan a separate prayer room can also order full pooja room work, with flooring and wall panels in Vietnam marble varieties, Indian wonder white marble, or onyx.
"City homes come in every shape and size, and our designers enjoy that part of the work," said the company spokesperson. "We look at the room, the light and the direction the family wants to face, and then we draw a temple that belongs in that space. Seeing a family use their temple for daily prayer after installation is the best part of every project for us."
Design sits at the center of how the company works. Its mandir designers are trained in temple design and visit marble yards and carving units to study the stone and finish before planning a project. Each client receives drawings and material samples for approval before carving starts. The company then shares progress updates through its project tracking system. Once the temple is ready, the team packs it, ships it to the client's home, and installs it there. This means a family in Mumbai can complete the whole order without traveling to the marble markets of Rajasthan.
