WHITE PLAINS, NY – Touchstone Health Inc. (Touchstone Health HMO, Inc. - Medicare Advantage HMO), named Robert Caione, President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Caione, brings more than 20 years of health care finance and operations experience. He assumed the duties of acting president and CEO of the company in October 2011 after serving for more than two years with Touchstone Health as chief administration officer. Mr. Caione will also serve as Chairman of the HMO Board at Touchstone Health.In addition to taking on the role of President and CEO at Touchstone Health, Mr. Caione also serves as the chief operating officer for its subsidiary, Compliant DRG.

As Touchstone Health’s CAO, Mr. Caione was responsible for all business operations, as well as corporate finance and contracting practices. Prior to joining Touchstone Health, Mr. Caione held the position of Vice President, Corporate Initiatives and Connecticut Chief Operating Officer at WellCare Health Plans, a $6 billion health plan covering 2.4 million beneficiaries in a range of government-sponsored health insurance programs. Before joining WellCare, he was Executive Vice President COO and CFO for Touchstone Health from 2002 to 2006. Prior to Touchstone Health, he was Vice President, Finance and Business Development for Breathnet, Inc., and President and Chief Operating Officer of Jasperon, LLC (both early stage venture backed companies). His tenure at Oxford Health Plans from 1992 to 2001 included important roles of increasing responsibility; most noted are New York Region Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Vice President for Medical Delivery Systems.
A certified public accountant, Mr. Caione began his career in public accounting and auditing with KPMG. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Fordham University.
