As of 19 January 2013, drivers with a category B license that wants to tow a horse trailer need to obtain an E entitlement.”

The new ruling which was implemented on 19 January 2013 states that drivers who obtained their category B license after 1 January 1997 can tow a trailer of 3500kg only if they hold an E entitlement, which means the majority of horse owners and caravan owners need to obtain the relevant license in order to be legal on UK roads.
