Their range runs across orthopaedic mattresses, cervical pillows, wedges and foam toppers. Demand has moved sharply towards the mattress topper 78x72 size, cut for standard king beds. Couples notice a failing mattress before anyone else does, because two bodies wear the same surface unevenly. One person sinks, the other rolls towards the dip, and both wake stiff without ever blaming the bed. A two-inch layer of gel memory foam or HR latex over the existing mattress corrects that surface at a fraction of the twenty-five thousand rupees a replacement would cost.

"People wait far too long, and that is the part that bothers us," said a spokesperson for UrbanBed. "They put the back pain down to age, or the office chair, or stress. Then they sleep on a proper topper for a fortnight, and it fades. I keep thinking about the years they gave up before that. Poor sleep does not stay in the bedroom. It shows up in your work, your mood, your health, and by then it costs a great deal more than a topper would have."

Manufacturing takes place at the company's Bhiwadi facility. Toppers come with a five-year warranty, UltraFresh-treated washable covers, anti-skid bases, and elasticated straps that prevent the layer from shifting overnight. Sizes run from single through diwan, queen and king. Mattresses have a 100-night trial period.

Waiting has a price that never appears on any invoice. Another year on a sagging bed means another year of shallow sleep, sore mornings and afternoons that drag. The mattress is not going to recover on its own.
