Here are some tools you'll need to form a wall repair kit:

- Drywall joint compound

- Painters knife or utility knife

- Putty knife

- Paper drywall tape

- 220-grit sandpaper

- 6-inches drywall knife

- 12-inch drywall knife

- Scissors

- Vacuum

- Primer

- Interior paint

Types of wall cracks:

- Drywall crack

- Plaster wall crack

- Concrete wall crack

To repair these crack, you will need the repair kit tools listed above and some simple steps. Any wall crack repairing service knows how to fix a crack on the wall by the following steps:

Steps

Score the crack: With the painter’s knife score the crack opens carefully to open all edges, and while this may seem like a counter-intuitive you will need to increase more area for the repairer joint compound to stick. You need to be gentle while doing this step and remove all crumbs from the crack.

Cut the paper drywall tape: The paper drywall tape needs to be measured equal to the crack to fit in. As the drywall compound can quickly dry up, you need to cut the tape in advance, so you prevent accidental creases and bumps.

Spread the repairer joint compound: Stir the compound in a holder and put a small portion of it on the 6-inch taping knife. Then you will apply it and smooth it over the cracked area.

Apply tape over the crack: With the 6-inch knife, you will now carefully apply a tape into the wet area all over the crack directly. Smooth it down with the knife and let it dry.

Apply the joint compound on the tape: To extend the joint compound a few inches from the tape apply it all over it and let it dry down. With fine sandpaper, sand it to smooth down prominent bumps. This has to be done very gently to avoid the tape to get messy.

Finishing up: This time you will add a third layer of joint compound and by the 12-inch knife to extend all edges even further. This coat will take it farther than 12 inches, and you will need it to let it dry down. Then repeat the sanding step and smooth down the entire surface lightly avoiding the sanding to go down to the paper tape. Clean the surface with some shop vacuum and wipe clean with dry clothes. It must be primed before a paint coat.
