IMMEDIATE RELEASECommunities in Distress Finds Hope
Pastor Felicia Osborne of Bethel Care in Newark, NJ as a leading voice for individuals and families living in distressed communities is actively engaged as a fierce advocate for those battling addictions citing an uptick in fragility, and lack of hope during COVID-19.
“I’ve not witness this many individuals so frighten in my life; I mean the conversations are shrouded in doom when there is hope available, and we have to remember especially if you are a person of faith that God will not leave us barren to be destroyed.” She shared in an email with her publicists.
Osborne indicated that she is continuously sounding the alarm loud and clear “there is hope”. “That the doors are open at Bethel and those in need can and should connect to clinical counselors and spiritual advisors to create a path of wellness and not allow themselves to be overwhelm with depression or resort to substance abuse. We were placed here by God as a beacon of light, and in many economic challenged communities residents of Color are the last to seek treatment; we are determined to change this trajectory by proactively engaging Newark’s residents through church outreach, social organizations newsletters, and through the press that they can find solutions here.”
