=====================================

The Haitian-American Grassroots Coalition (HAGC) was informed Monday , June 15, 2015 that the expected massive deportation program announced earlier by the Government of Dominican Republic was in motion as hundred of Dominican of Haitian ascendancy and Haitian Migrants crossed the Dominican Borders to enter Haiti. This deportation program is the direct outcomes of the edict taken by the Dominican Constitutional Tribunal in 2013 to sanction Haitian nationals with deportation under the 168-13 law of the Land.

By deporting these individuals, Dominican Authorities are acting illegally in violation of a Haiti Decree dated November 6, 1984 which stated children born overseas of a Haitian parent can not benefit of their Haitian ancestry. The Haitian parent can nevertheless go to their nearest Embassy to make a declaration of birth. At that point, the child can be recognized as a Haitian. Several nations in the region, such as the Bahamas Islands, the United States and the Dominican Republic, routinely deport Citizens from other countries to Haiti as Haitians.

Government of these countries above interpret the Haitian amended constitution on their own find loophole to deport foreigners into Haiti. According to le Groupe d'Appui Aux Rappatries et Refugies, the UNHCR had called on the Government of Dominican Republic not to deport thousands of persons whose citizenship is not cleared by the decision of the country's constitutional Tribunal.

The weakness of the Haitian States and its institutions makes it near impossible for the Country to stick by its principles not to cave in to the whims and desires of its neighbor. Conflicts between the two countries is like an experiment of a mad scientists that is gone wrong. The idea of the UNited Nations to stop and prevent apatrady is sounding like a bad joke.

Dominicans of Haitian descent, in a move to preempt any violence conducted by the Dominican military forces, have already left the hostile territory to enter Haiti by groups of 60 to one hundreds. It has been reported that among the deportees, there was at least one fatality. It appears that Haiti is not ready yet to receive the deportees with dignity and open arms, said Jean-Robert Lafortune, President of the HAGC Advocacy Group. He had visited several congressional offices in Washington DC this week to brief them on the current situation. When asked why the White House is keeping silent on this crisis, Congressional leaders stated that the U.S is handling this regional crisis via the UNited Nations actions.

Separated by cultures, traditions, customs and mores, Haiti and Dominican Republic must survive as one another enemy with everyone paying attention to their own citizenry. This could be a wake up call for Haiti to better manage its population and resources and not placing the destiny of his children into the hands of other countries.
