NEW YORK. Janice Hollis, the national coordinator for NSO is asking folks to help support the organization's efforts to provide personal care packages for the spring from the comfort of their home, "We are so disappointed that we had to reduced the number of tickets from 2,000 to just 100 on the Plaza, but it's the new norm that I am certain every organization and business is grappling with so we had to create a new way for supporters to help us provide personal care packages to the 1,023 individuals on our list" said Hollis.
The organization, The Nation's Sleep Out is hosting its 3rd event in April to raise awareness for chronic homelessness and mental illness and to address teen suicide.
Hollis indicated the organization reduced the number of people that could attend the live Philly event as a result of the Coronavirus to practice Social Distancing, and created an innovative way for individuals to still participate safely from their home.
